Former vice president Atiku Abubakar has emerged winner of the much anticipated Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential primary election.
The Waziri Adamawa received the highest number of votes in the exercise which was held in Port Harcourt from Saturday to Sunday.
The elected PDP candidate polled 1,532 votes, while his closest rival, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, polled 693.
A total of 3,274 delegates were accredited, with Datti Baba-Ahmed receiving the lowest of five votes and rooted to the bottom of the position.
