Popular Nollywood star actress, Mercy Aigbe, has finally reacted to the spreading talks about her being in a secret relationship with Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos State.
Newsheadline247 understands she officially addressed the viral reports in faraway Canada where she celebrated her birthday.
Some reports had alleged that Ambode was in a secret relationship with the actress.
The fast-spreading rumour also pointed that the governor has been spoiling Mercy with multiple expensive gifts including a recent handout of Lekki mansion and exotic cars.
However, in her reaction to the said romantic tale during her birthday bash in Canada, the star actress refuted the report saying she has neither met nor received any gift from governor Ambode.
Mercy was quoted saying, “When a person is successful and people don’t know the source, they begin their speculations
“I do not know who started the rumours of me being in a relationship with Ambode, All I have to say is, there is nothing between us, I have not even met him.”
