Adeyemi, the longest-reigning Alaafin, ruled for 52 years before his demise
Hundreds of natives and residents of the ancient Oyo town have continued to throng the palace of the Alaafin of Oyo since the news of the death of Oba Lamidi Adeyemi spread across the town.
The Oyo monarch died at the Afe Babalola University Teaching Hospital, Ado Ekiti.

He died aged 83.
Meanwhile, the late monarch will be buried by 4pm after burial rites have been concluded, according to the Oyomesi in-council.
