“We must iron out our differences and learn to live together as one, big family”

Oba N’Edo Uku Akpolokpolo Ewuare II, the Oba of the Benin Kingdom, has stated that God has ordained Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as Nigeria’s President as he urged Nigerians to live in unity, regardless of their differences.

The Benin monarch made the statement during a courtesy visit to Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu at the Lagos House, Marina.

“God has ordained that Tinubu would become President of Nigeria. We are all one. I am for peace and tranquility.

“We must live together as one. Nigeria is big. We must iron out our differences and learn to live together as one, big family,” he said.

The Lagos Governor tweeted the visit afterwards, saying he was honoured by the visit by the Oba of Benin.

Sanwo-Olu stated in the tweet that the monarch’s visit “reaffirms our commitment to cultural harmony and collaboration.”

Ewuare II, however, urged Sanwo-Olu to do more in his second four years in office.
