In her tradition, the Queen to His Royal Majesty, the Olota of Otta, Olori Oloruntoyin Obalanlege, has reached out to the first baby of the year at the General Hospital, Otta.

The Awori queen was represented by the Yeyegunwa of Otta, High Chief Olukemi Adeniji-Adeogun, at the presentation of various items at the General Hospital, Otta, including cash donations among others.

The Principal Secretary to Olota, Prince Adeyemi Sulaimon Olusesi, in statement made available to newsheadline247 said the gestures were equally extended to other two babies born on 1st January 2024 at the hospital.

According to Olusesi, the first lady of Ogun State, Her Excellency,  Mrs Bamidele Abiodun, was equally at the General Hospital to extend her gesture to the same baby who was declared as the first baby of the year across the state.

Record showed that the mother of the first baby, Madam Roda, gave birth to a bouncing baby boy at exactly 12:02am.

“The gestures have, since it started years back, gained traction and commendation from the people, indicating that all hands are on deck towards the growth and development of Ota, extending Aworiland,” Olusesi stated.
