Bishop Oyedepo Hosts Olota, Other Otta-Awori Monarchs, Commends Warmth of Host Community

Bishop (Dr.) David Oyedepo, the revered founder of Living Faith Ministries and Covenant University, on Friday, welcomed a distinguished delegation of monarchs from the Otta Aworiland, led by His Majesty, Oba Professor Adeyemi Obalanlege (Lanlege Ekun II, Arole Iganmode), Olofin Apesin Olode, Olota of the Paramount and Ancient Ottaland at the church’s headquarters in Otta.

This significant visit underscored unity and mutual appreciation, recognizing Bishop Oyedepo’s transformative leadership and unwavering dedication to the advancement and global recognition of Otta. His visionary contributions have left an indelible mark on the community, elevating the district’s status on the world stage.

Conveying gratitude on behalf of the people of Ottaland—both Indigenous and resident— Olotas message to Bishop Oyedepo read:

“Notably, your steadfast involvement in the Ota-Idiroko International Road project—a critical artery for commerce and mobility—has been vital in keeping this essential route functional and safe.”

In response, Bishop Oyedepo attributed his successes to divine grace and reaffirmed his commitment to the prosperity and well-being of Otta and Ottaland.

He also expressed gratitude for the community’s hospitality and highlighted the upcoming completion of a new Teaching Hospital, which promises to benefit residents and support health and education initiatives in the region.

The royal delegation includes other esteemed traditional leaders and chiefs; HRM Oba (Barr.) Samuel Ojugbele (Onilogbo of Ilogbo Asowo, Otta), HRM Oba Abdulwasiu Ogungbayi (Onitetiku of Owode Otta), Oba Clement Akinyemi (Ajana of Ijana Otta), Oba Abdulakeem Odunaro (Onikotun of Otun Otta), Oba Wadudu Deinde (Akogun Oloruba of Oruba Otta), Oba Maroof Alagbe (Elegushi of Egushi Otta). Joining them were notable chiefs including High Chief Isiaka Idowu Balogun, the Balogun of Otta; High Chief Bamigboye Osunlabu, the Ekerin of Otta; High Chief Oyedele Deinde, the Oluwo of Otta; and High Chief Adedayo Akindele-Eleku, the Lisa of Otta.
