The Chairman of the Ayobo-Ipaja Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Bola Shobowale, has been “dragged” to the Lagos State House of Assembly due to allegations of prolonged absences from work. Stakeholders claim her absences are hindering progress in the area.
She faces accusations of negligence and incompetence, as articulated in a petition submitted by concerned citizens and stakeholders of the LCDA to the Speaker of the House, Mudashiru Obasa. They argue that her actions have severely impacted local governance and development.
Shobowale is reportedly battling a medical condition that has created a significant void in the administration of the LCDA. Furthermore, she is accused of failing to follow the necessary chain of command for effective operations within the council.

The situation reportedly deteriorated after a recent incident where she collapsed during one of her rare appearances at the council headquarters.
