DHQ reacts to ‘alleged’ arrest of bandits’ kingpin Bello Turji

Following recent social media reports claiming the arrest of wanted terrorist leader Bello Turji by troops from Operation Fasan Yamma in the North West, the Nigerian Defence Headquarters has swiftly dismissed these reports as false and misleading.

The Defence authorities have called on the public to disregard the trending rumors, emphasizing that they are nothing more than fake news.

In a statement issued by the Director of Defence Media Operations, Major General Edward Buba, he strongly refuted the claims, stating, “All news regarding the alleged arrest of Bello Turji by troops should be treated as fake news. The public is urged to ignore these reports and refrain from spreading unverified information.”

Bello Turji, known for his involvement in various terrorist activities in the region, remains at large, and authorities continue to work diligently to apprehend him.
