AbdulRazaq Meets Security Chiefs in Kwara South, Orders Sustained Crackdown on Threats
Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has held a high-level security meeting with top officers of the Nigerian Army, police, and other security agencies in Kwara South, directing sustained operations in areas flagged for potential threats.
The strategic session followed the review of recent security reports, including outcomes from a routine meeting of Kwara South leaders convened by Engr. Dr. Johnson Adewumi.
Also in attendance were Irepodun Local Government Chairman, Hon. Abdulazeez Yakub; Commissioner for Communications, Hon. Bolanle Olukoju; Prince Olanrewaju Shuaib (SOFAB); and senior commanders of security agencies across the state.
Governor AbdulRazaq commended the Nigerian Army, police, local vigilantes, and community leaders for their collaboration, which he said has been pivotal in keeping Kwara largely peaceful.
“Our state must remain inhospitable to non-state actors and criminal elements. We will not drop our guard,” the Governor said, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to strengthening security architecture statewide.
He ordered a sustained security lockdown in vulnerable areas and assured residents that his administration, working closely with the Office of the National Security Adviser, is leaving no stone unturned to ensure public safety.
The Governor also appealed for public cooperation, urging residents to remain calm and support security agencies as they carry out operations.
The meeting, which ended on a positive note, is part of the AbdulRazaq-led government’s proactive approach to crime prevention and intelligence-driven security management. Read More
