The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has released a three-day weather outlook forecasting predominantly sunny and hazy conditions in the North and North-Central regions, while the South braces for localised showers and thunderstorms from Sunday to Tuesday.

In its bulletin issued Saturday in Abuja, NiMet indicated that the northern states will enjoy clear, sunny skies throughout the period, with persistent hazy conditions expected across the North-Central zone due to suspended dust particles in the atmosphere.

  • Hazy atmosphere in the North-Central region.
  • Morning localised thunderstorms with light rainfall in parts of Rivers, Bayelsa, and Delta states.
  • Later in the day, isolated thunderstorms expected in Rivers, Delta, Cross River, Akwa Ibom, and Bayelsa.

Monday (Dec 22):

  • Persistent sunshine in the North and hazy conditions in North-Central states.
  • Cloudy skies in the morning across southern states, followed by isolated thunderstorms in the afternoon.
