The Executive Chairman of Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government, Hon. Lawal Adewale Wasiu, FCA, has expressed deep appreciation to residents of the council area for their unwavering support and cooperation throughout 2025, describing the year as productive and impactful for grassroots governance.

Hon. Lawal made this known in a New Year message released by the Council’s Chief Information and Public Relations Officer, Alabi Sheriff, and made available to NewsHeadline247.

As the year draws to a close, the council chairman said the administration is entering 2026 with renewed hope, optimism and a stronger resolve to deepen development across the local government.

“As we bid farewell to a productive year and welcome 2026 with hope and optimism, we reflect on achievements and reaffirm our commitment to enhanced governance,” Lawal said.
“Our focus remains on delivering tangible benefits to our community through strategic initiatives across key sectors.”

Hon. Lawal outlined a broad development roadmap for 2026, noting that the council will continue to prioritise projects and policies that directly improve the lives of residents.

In the agricultural sector, the chairman said the council would intensify efforts to boost local food production through farmer-support programmes, modern farming techniques, agribusiness development and increased youth participation in agriculture as a driver of economic growth.

On education, he pledged continued investment in infrastructure upgrades, teacher training and expanded access to scholarships and learning
