Three-time Guinness World Records holder and celebrity chef Hilda Baci has celebrated her partner, Damilola Akinwunmi, founder and Chief Executive Officer of Dapper Group, following a historic achievement by his music company.
Akinwunmi’s label, which houses Dapper Music and Entertainment and Dvpper Digital, recently clinched a Guinness World Record for assembling the largest orchestra for an Afrobeats concert.
The record-breaking performance was staged by Dapper Live and its artists in Lagos on December 16, 2025, at the Balmoral Convention Centre.
According to organisers, the orchestra consisted of 85 musicians, officially setting the record for the largest orchestra assembled for an Afrobeats concert.
The groundbreaking concert blended Afrobeats rhythms with orchestral arrangements, featuring a musical director, lead vocalist, choir, dancers, and a full orchestra performing a specially composed Afrobeats piece.
The event highlighted the creative fusion between traditional orchestral music and contemporary Afrobeats culture, marking a unique milestone in the evolution of the genre.
Celebrating the achievement, Baci shared clips from the historic performance on her Instagram page and penned a heartfelt message reflecting on the journey behind the success.
