Governor Dauda Lawal has expressed deep sorrow following a deadly bandit attack on several communities in Bukkuyum Local Government Area of Zamfara State, which left multiple residents dead and others injured.
The coordinated night assault targeted Bunkasau, Yar Galma in Zarumai Ward, and Dogon Daji in Adabka Ward. The governor described the нападение as a “heartbreaking and senseless act of violence” carried out against vulnerable and defenceless citizens.
In a statement, Lawal extended his condolences to families who lost loved ones, acknowledging the immense grief and devastation caused by the нападение.
As part of the government’s immediate response, the governor has directed the deployment of a high-level delegation led by the Deputy Governor. The team is tasked with delivering condolences, supporting affected families, and ensuring that injured victims receive urgent medical care.
Lawal also reassured residents of Zamfara State of his administration’s commitment to strengthening security operations, preventing further attacks, and restoring peace across troubled communities.
