Former Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo on Friday flew aboard Air Peace’s Boeing 777-200ER from Lagos to London Gatwick Airport, further reinforcing public confidence in Nigeria’s foremost indigenous airline.
Obasanjo departed on May 8, 2026, via the carrier’s flagship United Kingdom route and was warmly received at the Premium Lounge of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport by Air Peace Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Allen Onyema.
Speaking during the visit, Onyema described the former president’s decision to fly with the airline as a significant honour and a strong vote of confidence in the airline’s international operations.
He reiterated the airline’s commitment to providing safe, reliable, and world-class aviation services while expanding connectivity between Nigeria and key global destinations.
The Air Peace chairman personally escorted Obasanjo to the aircraft before its departure for London Gatwick, underscoring the importance of the occasion.
