Sunday Karimi Clinches APC Ticket for Kogi West Ahead of 2027 Elections

In a decisive victory, Senator Sunday Karimi, representing Kogi West Senatorial District, has emerged as the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the 2027 general elections.

Karimi clinched the party’s ticket after polling an overwhelming 51,665 votes in the primary election held across Kogi West.

The results were officially announced by the Kogi West APC Senatorial District Returning Officer, Haruna Isah, who confirmed that Karimi defeated four other contenders in the race.

According to the official tally, Alhaji Abubakar Zakari Ola secured 414 votes, Samuel Aro polled 620, Smart Adeyemi received 571, and Elizabeth Adedoyin got 18 votes.

Following the announcement, the results were presented to the Chairman of the APC Kogi State Senatorial Primary Election Committee, cementing Karimi’s position as the APC flagbearer for Kogi West in the upcoming 2027 elections.
