President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated the President of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Ike Neliaku, following his re-election to the Board of the Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management.
In a statement issued on Tuesday by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu described Neliaku’s re-election as a clear affirmation of his leadership qualities, professionalism and dedication to ethical standards in public relations practice.
The President noted that the achievement reflects Nigeria’s increasing influence in the global communication and public relations sector, while also highlighting the growing international recognition of Nigerian professionals.
Neliaku secured another two-year term during the Board’s Annual General Meeting held in Prague after a closely contested election involving representatives from member countries across the world.
Tinubu praised the NIPR President for his efforts in promoting excellence, transparency and innovation within the public relations and communication management profession.
He also expressed confidence that Neliaku’s renewed mandate would deepen international collaboration and support the continued development of the profession globally.
“I wish you continued success in your renewed mandate to the global public relations community. I assure you that the Federal Government will continue to support initiatives aimed at enhancing Nigeria’s image and professional standing worldwide,” the President stated.
