The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress has released the names of candidates who emerged victorious in the party’s primaries for the House of Representatives and Lagos State House of Assembly ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The announcement was made in a statement issued on Monday by the Lagos APC Chairman, Cornelius Ojelabi.
A total of 24 candidates secured the party’s tickets for the House of Representatives, while 40 aspirants emerged as candidates for the Lagos State House of Assembly.
Among the notable winners for the House of Representatives are James Abiodun Faleke for Ikeja Federal Constituency, Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa for Agege Federal Constituency, and Babajimi Benson for Ikorodu Federal Constituency.
Others who clinched the party’s tickets include Muftau Egberongbe (Apapa), Moses Olanrewaju (Amuwo-Odofin), Adeyemi Alli (Mushin I), Moses Oluwatosin Fayinka (Mushin II), and Fuad Kayode Laguda (Surulere I).
Lanre Okunnola won the Surulere II primary, while Fuad Atanda-Lawal emerged as the APC candidate for Eti-Osa. Bello Monsuru Oloyede secured the Oshodi-Isolo II ticket, while Kolade David Alabi emerged for Somolu Federal Constituency.
Benjamin Adeyemi Olabinjo won the Ifako-Ijaiye primary, while Bolaji Kayode Robert secured the Ojo ticket. Paul Abioye Kalejaiye clinched the Ajeromi-Ifelodun ticket, while Dolapo Badru and Kayode Moshood Akiolu emerged for Lagos Island I and Lagos Island II respectively.
In Alimosho Federal Constituency, Olabisi Adebanjo secured the APC ticket, becoming the only female candidate among the party’s 24 House of Representatives flagbearers.
Other winners include Adebayo Balogun (Ibeju-Lekki), Taiwo Aiyedun (Oshodi-Isolo I), Dele Osinowo (Kosofe), Segun Adeniran Onilude (Badagry), Wale Raji (Epe), and Adekunle Omolaja (Lagos Mainland).
For the Lagos State House of Assembly primaries, Mojisola Meranda emerged winner for Apapa Constituency I, while Musibau Lawal secured the ticket for Apapa II.
Barakat Bakare-Odunuga won the Surulere I primary, while Damilola Ayinde-Marshall emerged for Surulere II. Oluwagbemiga Abiola secured the Agege I ticket.
Other successful candidates include Saheed Bankole (Eti-Osa I), Gbolahan Yishawu (Eti-Osa II), Oladipo Olayinka Ajomale (Oshodi-Isolo I), and Mayowa Alakija (Oshodi-Isolo II).
In Ikorodu, Toyin Gafar and Moshood Aro emerged for Ikorodu I and II respectively, while Orekoya Abiodun and Moruf Alli-Balogun secured victory in Somolu I and II.
Temitope Adedeji Adewale and Rasheed Lanre Makinde won the tickets for Ifako-Ijaiye I and II respectively, while Oluwaseun Adebisi Ege and Suraju Tijani emerged for Ojo I and II.
For Ikeja Constituencies I and II, Adedamola Kasumu and Adeseyi Lawal secured victory, while Saad Lukmon Olumoh and Sabur Akanbi Oluwa emerged for Ajeromi-Ifelodun I and II respectively.
