United States President Donald Trump is facing renewed security concerns following reports that Israel shared intelligence with Washington about an alleged fresh Iranian plot to assassinate him.

According to US media reports, Israeli intelligence officials recently provided American authorities with details of what was described as a new and specific assassination plan targeting the US president.

CNN, citing sources familiar with the matter, reported that while US security agencies had been tracking multiple threats against Trump, the latest intelligence from Israel suggested a more direct and credible plot.

Similarly, The Wall Street Journal reported that the intelligence pointed to a fresh assassination attempt allegedly linked to Tehran.

Iran has repeatedly threatened retaliation against Trump since he authorized the US drone strike that killed Iranian military commander General Qassem Soleimani in Baghdad in January 2020 during his first term in office.

Responding to the reports, Trump acknowledged the threats while speaking to journalists aboard Air Force One.

“They want to take out the US leader — me. I’m on whatever list,” Trump said.

The reports also emerged amid speculation surrounding Trump’s decision to switch aircraft after departing Turkey, where he attended the NATO summit. Media reports claimed the move was recommended by the US Secret Service as a precautionary security measure due to heightened tensions between Washington and Tehran.

Although Trump declined to discuss specific security arrangements, he referred to previous alleged assassination threats believed to have originated from Iran.
