Former Ogun Governor Gbenga Daniel has appointed Dr. Babatunde Onadeko and Dr. Bankole Osisanya to key leadership positions in the Gateway Front Foundation to strengthen its humanitarian and community development initiatives

Former Ogun State Governor and Senator representing Ogun East, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, has approved the appointment of banking executive Dr. Babatunde Onadeko as Executive Secretary and veteran physician Dr. Bankole Adegboyega Osisanya as Chief Medical Consultant of the Gateway Front Foundation (GGF) in a move aimed at repositioning the organisation for greater impact.

The appointments, announced in a statement issued on Saturday by the OGD Media Office, underscore Daniel’s commitment to strengthening the Foundation through the engagement of seasoned professionals with proven records of leadership, integrity and public service.

According to the statement, Onadeko brings decades of experience in banking, corporate governance and strategic management to his new role. A former South-West Zonal Head of First City Monument Bank (FCMB), he holds a Master’s degree in Finance and a Doctorate in Business Administration from Babcock University. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers and the Enterprise Risk Professionals, an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Directors, and an alumnus of the London School of Business and Finance.

He currently serves as a Non-Executive Director on the board of Veritas Glanvills Pensions, where he has contributed to corporate governance, financial stewardship and institutional growth. The Foundation said his experience in finance, leadership and organisational management would be instrumental in driving its strategic objectives.

Also appointed as Chief Medical Consultant is Dr. Bankole Adegboyega Osisanya, a respected physician and healthcare entrepreneur whose medical career spans more than four decades. A native of Ijebu-Ode, Osisanya attended Ijebu Ode Grammar School and Igbobi College before studying Physiology at the University of Ibadan and earning his medical degree from the College of Medicine, University of Lagos.

He worked in several public health institutions, including the State Hospital, Ijebu-Ode, General Hospital, Ibiade, and General Hospital, Ijebu-Ife, before establishing Ebun Ola Hospital in Ibiade and Ijebu Imusin in 1990.

Beyond his medical practice, Osisanya has held several public service positions, including Supervisor for Health in Ijebu East Local Government and member of the Ogun State Hospitals Management Board. He currently serves as the Federal Constituency Supervisor for Ogun Waterside, Ijebu East and Ijebu North Local Government Areas. He is also a traditional title holder, bearing the titles of Bamisegun of Ibiade and Otunba Sobaloju of Ijebu Imusin.

Daniel expressed confidence that both appointees would leverage their extensive professional experience to advance the Foundation’s humanitarian, healthcare, educational and community development programmes.

He congratulated Onadeko and Osisanya on their appointments and urged them to justify the confidence reposed in them through diligence, innovation and an unwavering commitment to excellence in the service of humanity.
