TikToker Mirabel has returned to social media months after leaving a rehabilitation programme in Ogun State following investigations into a viral rape allegation that authorities later described as false and deliberately fabricated.

Mirabel resumed activity on TikTok on Saturday, sharing several posts that marked her first public appearance on the platform in months.

In one of the posts, she wrote, “I survived, so I’m awaiting your hate comments.”

In another video, she captioned her return, “Out of therapy but not healed.”

She also wrote: “Made peace with my mental health since rehab couldn’t help. Hi y’all.”

Her return comes after she spent months under the care of the Ogun State Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development, where she received psychosocial support.

Mirabel gained widespread attention in February 2026 after posting a series of viral TikTok videos alleging that she had been raped by an unidentified man at her residence in Ogijo, Sagamu, Ogun State.

She claimed the incident occurred on February 15, 2026, alleging that the man pushed his way into her home, struck her head against a refrigerator, tied her up and sexually assaulted her.

She further alleged that the man later sent her messages and that a blade was inserted into her, resulting in bleeding.

The allegations generated millions of views and triggered widespread reactions on social media.

However, questions were later raised over inconsistencies in her account, prompting the Ogun State Police Command to commence an investigation.

Mirabel initially reported the matter at Ibafo Police Station before being taken to Ogijo for medical examination.

On February 25, 2026, she was released into the care of the Ogun State Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development as authorities shifted the focus from prosecution to rehabilitation.

In June, Ogun State Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Oluwasina Ogungbade, said investigations, alongside Mirabel’s admission, established that the rape allegation was “false and deliberately fabricated.”

According to him, there was no suspect to prosecute and no identified threat to public safety arising from the case.

The state government subsequently maintained that rehabilitation was considered to be in the interest of justice, with Mirabel placed under the ministry’s care to receive psychosocial support.

Her latest posts suggest she is now attempting to return to public life after months away from social media.
