Nigerian singer Teni Apata has publicly challenged fellow star Tiwa Savage to a physical fight, sparking fresh buzz in the entertainment industry.
In a video posted on her Instagram page, Teni voiced frustration over the earnings of Nigerian artistes and the lavish lifestyles of some male colleagues. Directing her comments at Tiwa Savage, she declared she would “beat [her] enter bush” and later apologise, while questioning how male artistes afford luxury cars and other high-end items.
“Let’s fight, me and Tiwa Savage next, I’ll beat you enter bush, me that I’m already angry, I won’t even look at your son Jamal face, 1 billion. You’re wondering how your male colleagues are buying cars, etc if they pay us 1.5 billion, you can buy Bugatti. Mama, let’s fight… I will beat you to the point, I’ll beg you later,” Teni said.
Tiwa Savage responded shortly afterward with a concise reply: “Pick a date.”
In a related development, comedian Aderombi Adedayo Martin, popularly known as DeeOne, has dared reality TV star Phyna to take on Tacha and Illebaya in the ring. This comes after Phyna, fresh from defeating Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing on Thursday night, challenged organisers to set up a bout against actress Etinosa Idemudia for her next match.
