Dangote, Rabiu Attend Otedola’s Dinner for Lagos Deputy Governor Hamzat
Business moguls Aliko Dangote and Abdul Samad Rabiu have joined billionaire businessman Femi Otedola at a dinner held in honour of Lagos State Deputy Governor Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, amid growing attention on the 2027 governorship race.
The exclusive gathering brought together some of Nigeria’s most prominent business figures and Hamzat, who is seeking to succeed Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu as Lagos prepares for the next governorship election.
Rabiu, chairman of BUA Group, described the event as “a memorable evening”, highlighting the atmosphere of friendship and engagement among the guests.
“An evening of warm friendship and meaningful conversations,” he said.
The industrialist also extended his best wishes to Hamzat as he pursues his ambition to lead Nigeria’s commercial hub.
“I extend my warmest wishes to Dr. Hamzat as he pursues his ambition to lead Lagos State, wishing him every success in the journey ahead,” Rabiu said.
The dinner, hosted by Otedola, brought together Dangote, Rabiu and other prominent figures around Hamzat, whose governorship ambition is drawing attention as political activities ahead of the 2027 election gather momentum.
Although the gathering was described in terms of friendship and goodwill, it placed the Lagos deputy governor in the company of some of the country’s most influential business leaders as the contest for the state’s next leadership approaches.
