Barrister Abiodun Akande Akinboyede, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) candidate for the Feb 16th election to the House of Representatives for Ado Odo Ota Federal Constituency, on Sunday, flagged off his campaign urging voters to elect leaders with integrity and fear of God.

Akinboyede, a prince of Awori kingdom in a statement made available to newsheadline247, said integrity is the keyword and once it’s missing in leaders as the case in the Nigerian political landscape, it is inevitable for the country and its people to suffer.

“When this virtue is missing as is the case in the Nigerian political landscape and largely among our leaders, it is inevitable for the country and its teeming population to suffer,” he said.

“Moving on from here and urging the electorate to prayerfully and conscientiously elect leaders with integrity and the fear of God in the forthcoming election is the only route to getting the country out of its present doldrums.

“Fixing the Nigerian State is a herculean task, our individual and collective psyche must be positively altered to imbibe a culture of integrity that seeks to offer service in place of personal gains and see other people as vital in our everyday dealings,” Akinboyede stated.
