We just can’t seem to get enough of the king of Afro DanceHall, Timaya.

Timaya has joined the likes of WizKid and Kah-Lo, Cynthia Erivo, Femi and King Sunny Ade to be nominated for the Grammy Awards.

Trust him to add his spice, Avrekedabra, a reggae album he featured in alongside StoneBwoy, Chubb Rock, Stylo G, Bunji Garlin, Dre Zion and Jahiel has been nominated for “Best Reggae Album” for the 60th Grammy Awards slated for January next year.

Others nominated in the category include Chronicle by Chronixx, Lost In Paradise by Common Kings, Wash House Ting by J Boog and Stony Hill by Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley.

We hope he breaks the ice by being the first Nigerian-based act to win the Grammy.
