The monarch made the remarks in a congratulatory message to mark Adeboye’s 84th birthday, commending the cleric’s enduring spiritual leadership and dedication to guiding millions of believers.
In a statement issued through the Alaafin’s Media and Publicity Director, Bode Durojaye, the traditional ruler said celebrating the respected cleric offers an opportunity to acknowledge the countless hours he has devoted to prayer, counsel and spiritual guidance for individuals and the nation.
According to the statement, Adeboye’s life and ministry have remained a source of inspiration to millions both within Nigeria and across the world.
The Alaafin noted that honouring the renowned preacher on his birthday highlights the deep appreciation for his unwavering commitment to spreading faith, hope and moral values across communities.
He added that such celebrations reinforce unity within the Christian faith community while encouraging mutual respect and stronger relationships among believers.
“Celebrating a spiritual leader’s birthday reinforces unity and love within the faith community. It provides an opportunity for believers to come together in appreciation and strengthen the bonds that unite them,” the statement noted.
The monarch further stated that recognising spiritual leaders publicly sets a biblical example of valuing those who dedicate their lives to ministry and service.
Oba Owoade praised Adeboye for his sacrifices and commitment to mentoring believers and guiding congregations through life’s challenges.
