Governor Soludo’s commanding victory marks another strong performance for APGA in Anambra politics, consolidating the party’s dominance in the South-East state.

INEC’s collation revealed that the governor won in all 21 LGAs, reflecting widespread support from across the state’s electorate.

Soludo’s campaign had focused on economic expansion, infrastructure renewal, and youth empowerment, themes that appeared to resonate strongly with voters.

Trailing behind Soludo were Nicholas Ukachukwu (APC) with 99,445 votes, and Paul Chukwuma (YPP) who garnered 37,753 votes.
Candidates from the Labour Party (LP) and People’s Democratic Party (PDP)—George Moghalu and Jude Ezenwafor—recorded 10,576 and 1,401 votes, respectively.

The 2025 Anambra governorship election was largely peaceful, with high compliance by electoral officers and enhanced security deployment across the state.
Observers commended INEC for improved logistics and efficient collation procedures compared to previous elections.

Soludo, a former Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Governor, was first elected governor in 2021. His re-election reinforces his administration’s vision of making Anambra a “livable and prosperous homeland”, a key slogan in his campaign manifesto.

The governor is expected to continue his development agenda, with focus on infrastructure, digital governance, and industrial growth.
