In continuation of the ongoing Awori royal European tour, the Olofin Apesin Olode, Olota of Otta, Awori Kingdom, His Majesty, Kabiyesi Adeyemi Obalanlege (Lanlege EkunII, Arole Iganmode) was received by the Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Frankfurt, His Excellency, Ambassador Wahab Adekola Akande on Monday 28th February 2022 at the Consulate office in Frankfurt.
The revered royal father who was in the company of his wife, Olori Oloruntoyin Obalanlege, some other Awori royal fathers and chiefs who made the journey with him was received at the Nigerian consulate house.
The Awori monarch and his royal crew had in a bid to showcase and promote the rich cultural heritage of the Aworis to parts of Europe, embarked on a tour to Germany and other European countries between 24th February and 6th March 2022.
The Awori royal team which flew out of the country on Thursday 24th February 2022 is expected back in the country this month.
Newsheadline247 understands that the tour will focus on the promotion, development and sustenance of the Yoruba culture at large and Aworis in particular through educative forums.
According to the consultant, a tourism expert, Prince Adewale Adeyanju, the tour has the diplomatic support of Nigeria’s Consulate office in Germany.
Also, the leading Yoruba group in Europe, Egbe Omo Yoruba shall be hosting Kabiyesi Olota and his team in Frankfurt.
Among notable dignitaries in the Awori royal train to the European continent are; HRM Oba Abdulwasiu Ogungnayi (Onitetiku of Owode Otta, Awori Kingdom), HRM Oba Abdulgafar Olasunkanmi Tijani (Alawowo), Prince Ademola Eletu Ashorota, High Chief Olarenwaju Bashorun (Seriki Otta, Awori Kingdom) and High Chief Bamisaiye Fadipe (Aro of Otta, Awori Kingdom).
Others in the trip include Chief Olusegun Johnson (Otunba Otta, Awori Kingdom), Chief Raymond Fadayiro (Baamolu of Otta, Awori Kingdom), Chief(Mrs) Angella Fadayiro (Yeye Bamoolu Otta, Awori Kingdom), Olori Abimbola Eletu Ashorota (Osi Iyalaje Otta, Awori Kingdom).
Also, other eminent Awori personalities at the event are Prince Adewale Adeyanju, Alhaji Yussuf Bashorun, Aare Tiwalade Akingbade, Prince Adeyemi Sulaimon Olusesi.
