President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday promised Nigerians that he would work harder in his second term.

The president assured Nigerians that he would work hard this time around to address the multiple challenges facing the country.

He spoke while hosting leadership of the Arewa Consultative Forum, ACF, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The Forum was at the Presidential Villa to pay him a congratulatory visit, following his victory at the presidential election.

He also assured Nigerians that he would not let them down.

“This is my last lap, I will try to work harder. I assure you, I will not let you down,” Buhari said.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had declared president Buhari winner of the presidential poll. Buhari polled 15,191,847 to defeat his major rival, Atiku Abubakar, who scored 11,262,978 votes.

Chairman of the ACF’s board of trustees, Alhaji Adamu Fika, who led the delegation, disclosed that their visit was to congratulate the president over his victory at the poll.
