The Imam reviewed the virtues of Ramadan and prayed against disunity, unrest, anger and crimes

Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari, on Sunday, joined worshippers to pray for peace and unity in the country.

Buhari attended the closing session of the Tafsir at the State House Mosque where prayers were said for Allah’s protection to be upon Nigeria, its people and leaders.

The congregation listened to the final round of the Tafsir which was delivered by Sheikh Abdulwahid Abubakar Sulaiman, the Chief Imam of the State House Mosque.

The Imam reviewed the virtues of Ramadan and prayed against disunity, unrest, anger and crimes.

Sheikh Sulaiman also prayed to God for peace, harmony and security for the nation and its people, presidential spokesman, Garba Shehu noted.

He said Nigeria desperately needs Allah’s peace given the challenges facing the country.

He urged all citizens to do justice to one another and seek restoration through repentance, humility and love for peaceful co-existence.
