Call to service… Ado-Odo/Ota residents root for House of Reps hopeful, Jimoh Musibau Alade

Some residents of Ado-Odo/Ota area of Ogun State have declared support for the candidature of Eng. Jimoh Musibau Alade as the representative of the area in the Federal House of Representatives from 2023.

The residents, who spoke during interviews said that the member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has shown enough commitment to the area to be supported for the office “if we want the community to make progress.”

A resident of Sango Ota, Alhaji Nurudeen Adebola said that he has heard much about Eng. Alade and that he is convinced that he would serve the interest of the people better than others, who have come before him.

“We need a hardworking and cerebral person such as Eng. Musibau Alade to move to the Federal House of Representatives to give us good representation at the green chamber from 2023.

“Ado-Odo/Ota is highly industrialised, yet it has little to show in terms of development, so we need someone like Eng. Musibau Alade as our next representative.

“I have been living here for many years and I know that we deserve more than we are getting at the moment,” he said.

Also speaking, Mrs. Mojisola Olanrewaju, who resides in Igbesa said that she knew those who have benefitted from the kind gestures of the politician and that time had come for the people of the constituency to do the right thing and put a round peg in a round hole.

Olanrewaju stated that the people of the Constituency should hold their destinies in their hands and strive to support someone, who has the love of the people at heart and who is not driven by financial gains.

“Eng. Musibau Alade is successful as an engineer, so he is not going into the office because of money. We should support someone like him if we want development for our community.

“With what I have heard about Eng. Musibau Alade he will give us a good representation. We deserve the best at now and he is the only man that can come to our aid and bail us out of the numerous challenges confronting the area,” she said.

Some okada (motorcycle) riders in Ota area of the Constituency, who gave their names as Tajudeen, Fidellis, Olawale, Oluwashina and Ogundele also called for support for Eng. Jimoh.

They said that he had touched the lives of some of their colleagues in the past and that they were convinced that he would make the community better at this time.

According to them, the likes of Eng. Musibau Alade are needed in the area to attract federal presence into the area and bring succour to the people.

They maintained that the Constituency had not been lucky in the past, but that they were hopeful that with Alade, good tidings are “here for the people of Ado-Odo/Ota in the next dispensation.”

These were echoed by some market women across the federal constituency, who advised that “we should support a man that has the love of the masses at heart, not people that are carried away by the luxury in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory.”
