The nation’s health agency announced this via Twitter on Monday.
Nigeria has recorded 72 new infections of coronavirus according to the Nigeria Centre For Disease Control (NCDC).
The latest figure has taken the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 63,036.
According to the NCDC, Lagos State, the epicentre of the virus in the country, recorded the highest number of confirmed cases, with 51 new infections.

Ogun and Kaduna States, as well as Abuja, the federal capital, recorded six, four and three new cases respectively.
Niger, Ondo and Plateau had two each, while Katsina and Oyo States had one each.
The agency added that one death was recorded while announcing the 72 new confirmed infections
NCDC stated that 441 COVID-19 patients were discharged from isolation centres across the country.
