Award-winning Afrobeats star Davido has disclosed that his billionaire father, Dr Adedeji Adeleke, still financially supports his children despite their individual success and fame.
Speaking during a recent interview, the singer opened up about his close relationship with his father, describing him as generous and deeply supportive of his children’s accomplishments.
According to Davido, his father continues to reward his children financially whenever they achieve significant milestones.
“I’d be lying to you if I told you that my dad still doesn’t give his kids money,” the Afrobeats star said.
Recalling one memorable moment, Davido revealed that his father gifted him $300,000 after attending one of his arena concerts.
“After my arena show, he called to congratulate me. He said it was a great performance and then wired me $300,000,” he stated.
Popularly known as O.B.O, Davido has often addressed public perceptions surrounding his privileged background, insisting that he worked hard to establish his own identity and successful career in the music industry despite coming from a wealthy family.
