Segun Ojolowo is building a fertile ground for the Governor to campaign for his second term in office in 2023.
The appointment of Hon. Segun Ojolowo as the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Housing to Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State about a year ago was a welcome development to the people of Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government, who saw it as a round peg in a round hole.
And indeed Ojolowo has not disappointed both the Governor and the people since he got into office, and as a way of “paying the Governor back positively for counting him worthy to serve the gateway state,” the SSA has been reaching out to the people of the local government to further promote the cause of the Governor and the All Progressives Congress (APC), according to Ogun News Express.
He has made it a point of duty to reach out to his people in Ado-Odo/Ota Constituency on a regular basis.
This man of means and character doles out N5,000 to 10 members of the APC on a weekly basis, a gesture he has been doing since his appointment by the Governor as SSA.
With this initiative, a lot of party members now troop to ward meetings and convincing neighbours and relatives to join the party.
Contrary to the belief of many people, Ojolowo is not contesting for any office in 2023, he is just doing this for his love for Dapo Abiodun and the APC.
Ogun News Express reports that Ojolowo also gave vulnerable, people about 30 of them, N30,000 each in his Constituency of Ota.
It was also informed that precisely on Monday October 11, 2021 Ojolowo presented a Public Address System worth N300,000 (Three Hundred Thousand) to his Ward for easy communications.
As if this was not enough, Ojolowo gave N5,000 each to widows and elderly people on Monday October 11, 2021 at the Ward meeting held at Zion Methodist Primary School compound in Ota.
“With this singular act, Segun Ojolowo is attracting more and more members into the APC in Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government.
“His Ota Ward 2 has the highest of attendance in the whole of the local government.
“That is how Segun Ojolowo has been building the party for Governor Dapo Abiodun in the local government and the people have continued to praise him and the Governor for putting the local government in mind,” a source was quoted to have said.
With all these, it was gathered that Ojolowo is building a fertile ground for the Governor to campaign for his second term in office in 2023.
