Jimi Agbaje, a two-time governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos State, has called on Muslims in the state to foster peaceful co-existence as they celebrate this year’s Eid-el-Maulud.
Muslims around the world celebrate Eid-el- Maulud to mark the birth of the Holy Prophet Mohammed (S.A.W).
Agbaje, while wishing Muslims faithful delightful Eid-el-Maulud celebration, called on them to pray for Lagos State and the country, most especially on the recent incident that led to multiple casualties and gross damages of public and privates properties worth trillion of naira in the state.

This was stated in a greeting message to Muslim residents in Lagos State on Thursday.
“As we celebrate and observe the importance of the birth of the Holy Prophet Mohammed (S.A.W.) today, let us pray for peace and as well promote tolerance to aid the healing of our dear state and country, Nigeria,” Agbaje said.
He also urged Muslim residents in the state to take in and understand the virtues of peace, communal living and most importantly love and honesty which were the quality traits of the Holy Prophet Mohammed (S.A.W).
