A prominent member of the Green Eagles from 1971-75 and top goal scorer at the 1973 All African Games in which the Nigerian National Team won the Gold medal for the football event.
Oyarekhua played Club football for Benin Amateur Football Association(BAFA) and Police Machine Team, he also played for the Midwest Eleven including the memorable game against Brazil’s Santos FC which parades the likes of Pele, Edu, and Gilmar.
The match was played at the Ogbe Stadium in Benin in 1969
Oyarekhua was fondly called Bisco,an Alias he was given for his earlier engagement as a Sales Rep.with BISCO Biscuits in Benin in the late 60s.
