The Kaduna State Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Mr. Samuel Aruwan, confirmed the incident and said an investigation is ongoing.

Also, the Kaduna State Police Command’s Public Relations Officer, Mohammed Jalige, ASP, confirmed the attack, noting that it took place last night.

In that report, the commissioner had said bandits killed no fewer than 937 persons, kidnapped 1,972 persons, and rustled 7,195 cattle in the state in 2020.

The Kaduna abduction is the fifth under the Buhari Government, a situation which has called for several begging questions.

The first was on February 19, 2018 when 110 schoolgirls aged 11–19 years old were kidnapped by the Boko Haram terrorist group from the Government Girls’ Science and Technical College (GGSTC), Dapchi in Bulabulin, Yunusari Local Government area of Yobe State, in the northeast part of Nigeria

In December 2020, the second abduction took place under the watchful eyes of the present administration as motorcycle bandits armed with AK-47s charged into the Government Science Secondary School in the Kankara, Katsina State at around 9 pm and kidnapped about 400 children in a raid on the northern school in the country.

On February 17 this year, unidentified gunmen reportedly killed a student in an overnight attack on a boarding school in Niger State, North-Central Region of the country and kidnapped 42 people including 27 students.

Also On February 26 2021 , barely 9 days after the Niger abduction, 317 girls were abducted from a government girls’ secondary school in the Jangebe area of Zamfara State in the North-West Region.

The girls were taken from Government Girls Secondary School in the town of Jangebe, The Nigerian government has denied paying ransoms. It was not clear how the release of the children in this case was secured.

The State Government has confirmed about 30 students, mostly females, were abducted at the Federal College of Forestry Mechanization.

The early Friday Kaduna abduction is the fifth school kidnapping incident under the government of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Buhari.
