Soundcity OnTour is set to transform Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH) into a vibrant hub of music, dance and youthful energy from September 15 to 17, 2026.
The three-day campus takeover, powered by Bigi Carbonated Soft Drink and Fearless Energy Drink, moves beyond a traditional concert to put students firmly at the centre of the action. Organised as part of the brands’ ongoing engagement with tertiary institutions, the event promises talent discovery, competitive showcases and high-energy performances.
Campus activations will first build excitement across the institution. On Day Two, the spotlight shifts to emerging artists with the Bigi Music Competition. Aspiring musicians will compete for the chance to become the YABATECH campus winner and take home a ₦1 million cash prize, with the opportunity to advance to the national stage for further exposure and development.
Fearless Energy Drink will simultaneously fuel the Fearless Dance Challenge, giving YABATECH’s dancers a platform to compete, entertain and claim their moment in the spotlight.
Ekuma Eze, Head of Corporate Affairs and Sustainability at Rite Foods Limited, explained the brands’ approach: “Young people are not waiting for culture to happen; they are creating it every day. Through the Bigi and Fearless brands, we want to meet them where that creativity is most visible and give them platforms where they can express themselves, discover their capabilities and connect with opportunities beyond the immediate moment.”
The three-day experience will culminate on the final day with the full Soundcity OnTour concert, delivering music, live performances and entertainment that allow students to experience the complete scale of the campus takeover.
