Award-winning Nigerian singer David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has revealed plans to venture into acting as he continues to expand his footprint in the entertainment industry.
Speaking during a recent interview with Vibe Q, the Afrobeats star disclosed that he is preparing to make his acting debut after already investing in the film industry as an executive producer.
According to Davido, he has executive-produced two movies and is eager to become more actively involved in filmmaking by appearing on screen.
The singer also announced that he has completed work on a major documentary, describing the project as significant and saying it will be released soon.
“I want to get into movies. I want to start acting soon. I have invested in two movies already as an executive producer. I also have a documentary coming. It is very, very big, and I do want to act at some point in the future,” he said.
Reflecting on his music career, Davido said he remains passionate about making music but believes creativity requires constant evolution.
He explained that, like technology, music continues to change, making it important for artists to embrace new sounds, ideas, and storytelling techniques.
“God has blessed me with an amazing career and fans. I wouldn’t ask for another type of career. Music is what I love, and music evolves just like technology. There’s always a new sound, a new creative idea, and a new way to tell your story,” he added.
