The statement explained that the driver of the Lexus SUV was over-speeding and overtook wrongly from the right-hand side, leading to the fatal collision.

“An auto crash occurred today, 29th December 2025, involving two vehicles along the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway at SINOMA,” the FRSC said.

“Sagamu Unit of FRSC rescue team were at the scene as soon as they were informed.

“Five people were involved; one was injured, two were unhurt, while two were killed in the crash.

The FRSC added that Anthony Joshua was immediately rushed to an undisclosed hospital by his security detail, while the bodies of the deceased were deposited at the Livewell Hospital Morgue in Sagamu.
