Gbenga Daniel’s Foundation to Offer Free Medical Care in Sagamu

Residents of Sagamu Local Government Area, Ogun State, are set to benefit from a free medical outreach organised by the Gateway Front Foundation, a foundation associated with former Ogun State governor and senator, Otunba Gbenga Daniel.

The medical programme is scheduled for Monday, September 21, 2026, beginning at 9am, with residents expected to receive screening, clinical assessment and treatment for a range of medical conditions.

The outreach will take place simultaneously at three locations across the local government: Orita Ijagba Square on Ijagba Street, Ijagba; the Ewusi Palace grounds on Ewusi Street, Makun; and 46 Imoro Atiba Street, off Ilara Market Road, Ogijo, near Havilah School.

According to the organisers, the exercise will cover several areas of medical care, including cases requiring specialist attention and surgical intervention.

Eye conditions such as cataracts, growths and pterygium will be among the conditions assessed, while dental cases, tumours, lipomas and ganglion cysts will also be attended to.

The programme will equally cater to hernia cases involving both male and female patients.

Women’s health is another major component of the outreach, with services covering gynaecological conditions, fibroids, vesico-vaginal fistula and caesarean-section-related cases.

Orthopaedic cases, including fractures, tumours and dislocations, are also listed among the conditions to be addressed, with organisers indicating that severe cases requiring amputation may be considered.

Residents with diabetes and gastroenterological conditions will also be assessed during the programme.

The initiative is expected to provide an opportunity for residents who may struggle to afford specialist consultations, treatment or surgical procedures to access medical attention.

Those seeking information or wishing to register ahead of the exercise have been advised to contact Hon. Idowu Osho on 08034547687, Hon. Sulaimon Awoderu on 08038657442, Aare Kolade Segun-Okeowo on 08034539934, Comrade Adeniyi Bakare on 08037777339, or Hon. Yekeen Adesanya on 08056140822.

The organisers said the outreach is part of efforts to improve access to healthcare services within Sagamu Local Government Area, particularly for residents in need of specialist medical intervention.
