Thus philanthropy flowers in her heart indescribable peace. It is like a very personal culture of meditation peculiar to her, a process by which she puts her primal impulses to rest and let conscious thought, compassion and morality guide her being through consummate humaneness and balancing acts.
Dr Bode-Akinwande turns on her philanthropy in times of great joy and in times of strife, to celebrate a good day, to dull the severe blow of disappointments, social failures and other minor tragedies looking directly at the vulnerable spread across various communities in Nigeria.
In a conscious and deliberate quest to institutionalize that culture of philanthropy that spurs her to do good deeds, she would rather spend her fortune on improving the lives of the needy in Nigeria rather than squander it on guilty pleasures that defy reason and morality more often than not.
On these ceaseless applaudable noble traits, her foundation, the CBA Foundation, on Saturday, reiterated their commitment to putting smiles on the faces of widows as they embarked on yet another humanitarian gesture
Scores of widows from all walks of life attended the charitable event which took place in Otta, a foremost Awori town in Ogun State.
Mrs Bode-Akinwande, had earlier in November announced her intention to support Nigerian widows and put smiles on their faces ahead of the 2022 Christmas and the 2023 new year day celebrations.
Lines of support at the event include medical outreach, business and one-on-one counselling, food items, clothings among others.
During the selfless charitable activities, Mrs Bode-Akinwande gave the assurance of her commitment to the noble cause while distributing valuable items and medical supports and guidance to the widows and aged mothers in Ota.
She stated further that the aim of the programme was to reach out to the vulnerable in society.
Hundreds of women who experience solitude and pressure of caring for their children with the absence of their breadwinner were afforded basic medical care, human and material support from the CBA Foundation that have been to several parts of Nigeria, touching lives.
Beneficiaries of the humanitaria programme expressed gladness and as well appreciated the foundation for considering the widows and aged mothers in Ota and its environs.
They stated that the gesture would go a long way to assist them, especially during and after the yuletide season.
In her remarks, Mrs Bode-Akinwande appreciated God for the opportunity to lend a helping hand. She further promised to ensure that the CBA Foundation assists people across Nigeria whenever the need arises.
