Afrobeats superstar Burna Boy has stirred fresh conversation online after addressing reports surrounding an alleged altercation involving DJ Tunez, the official DJ for Wizkid.
During a recent Instagram Live session, the Grammy-winning artist shared his account of the incident said to have taken place at Obi’s House, a popular Lagos nightlife spot frequented by celebrities and entertainers.
Burna Boy dismissed viral claims suggesting that multiple individuals were involved in the confrontation, insisting that he was the only one directly involved. He also argued that details circulating online had been exaggerated and misrepresented.
According to him, the situation centered on an interaction with DJ Tunez, while other narratives about group involvement were inaccurate. He further suggested that although tensions rose during the encounter, the situation did not escalate beyond control.
In his comments, Burna Boy also implied that he expected a stronger reaction from Wizkid’s camp following the incident, criticizing what he described as a tendency toward online responses rather than direct engagement. The remarks have since fueled renewed discussion among fans, many of whom have interpreted the exchange as part of an ongoing rivalry narrative between major figures in the Afrobeats scene.
The incident continues to trend across social media, with fans divided over conflicting accounts and growing speculation about relationships within Nigeria’s music industry elite.
