The Iganmode Grammar School Old Students’ Association (IGSOSA) on Sunday 22 and Monday 23 of December 2019, elected its new executive members ahead of the school’s 60th Founders’ Day Celebrations next year.

The election which was conducted via e-voting to avail members’ participation across the world produced former Ogun State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Chief Jide Ojuko of the 1968 set as the new President of the alumni.

The returning officer, Alhaji Rafiu Oladotun Odunaye, duly declared the outcome of the election and winners of the 12 vacant positions following the transparent of the electoral process.

In the declaration of results seen by newsheadline247.com on Monday, Alhaji Odunaye declared Ojuko, who was unopposed, winner of the President position – Ojuko polled 65 votes.

Chief (Mrs) Roseline Titilayo Ariyibi of the 1979 set, also unopposed, was declared the winner of the 1st Vice President position after she polled a total of 71 votes while ace broadcaster, Mr Kayode Taiwo also of the 1979 set was announced the winner of the position of the Publicity Secretary after polling 70 votes.

After the results were declared, Alhaji Odunaye further announced that two posts, 1st Assistant Secretary and Auditor for which there were no candidates are declared vacant and to be filled by bye-election.

DECLARATION OF RESULTS – NATIONAL OFFICERS ELECTION, IGSOSA 2019 HELD FROM SUNDAY 22ND 12 NOON TO MONDAY 23RD 12 NOON DECEMBER, 2019.

I, Alhaji Rafiu Oladotun Odunaye, the Chairman, Electoral Committee and Returning Officer for the National Officers Election of Iganmode Grammar School, Ota, Old Students Association held Online (e-voting) From 22nd – 23rd December 2019 affirms that by the powers conferred on me by Article II of the IGSOSA Constitution, I wish to state as follows;

• That the IGSOSA election 2019 was contested by 12 candidates to the posts stated against each name

• That the following votes were scored by each candidate

 As all the candidates have satisfied the provisions of the guidelines for the election, they are all declared elected to the posts against their names. 

 The two posts, 1st Assistant Secretary and Auditor for which there were no candidates are declared vacant and to be filled by bye-election.
