“It is not only reckless but also very dangerous.”

A former Minister of Aviation, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode on Friday warned the Federal Government over its attempt to arrest Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho saying the move was not “is not only reckless but also very dangerous.”

Fani-Kayode stated this via a series of tweet post in reaction to a failed attempt by the DSS operatives and the police to arrest Sunday Igboho.

In a viral video, Igboho who was without a shirt on was seen with his men daring the security operatives and throwing a storm of expletives.

A team of security operatives has earlier been alleged an attempt to arrest Igboho while on his way with his supporter to meet with 93-year-old Afenifere chieftain, Ayo Adebanjo.

Fani-Kayode, a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain, in a tweet post stated that Igboho confirmed the incident informing that about 40 men in a joint team of army, DSS operatives and police attempted to arrest him.

“I just spoke to my brother Sunday Igboho. He told me there was a violent attempt to arrest him this afternoon by a joint team of soldiers, DSS operatives & policemen numbering about 40 on the Ibadan/Lagos Expressway whilst he was on his way to see Baba Ayo Adebanjo in Lagos,” Fani-Kayode said.

“I condemn this attempt to ambush& abduct him. It is not only reckless but also very dangerous.

“If the security agencies want to see him all they need to do is to invite him to their office. I am not aware of any crime that he has committed & I urge restraint on all sides.

“Let me also send a warning to the FG that Sunday Igboho is a hero to millions of Yorubas & either killing him or detaining him unlawfully would be the biggest mistake they could make. Building bridges, dialogue& peace is better than violence & war. A word is enough for the wise,” he added.
