Through the Oando Joint Venture (JV), comprising NNPC Exploration and Production Limited (NEPL) and Oando Energy Resources Nigeria Limited (OERNL), Tinubu has quietly but significantly advanced educational development.
The JV recently launched applications for its 2025/2026 Tertiary Scholarship Scheme, a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative designed to empower undergraduates in Nigerian tertiary institutions and foster the next generation of leaders.
The scholarship program offers two award categories: the Host Communities Merit Award, targeting students from Oando’s host communities in Rivers, Bayelsa, Delta, and Imo States, and the National Merit Award, open to students nationwide (excluding host communities) studying Engineering, Geology, Geosciences, or Agricultural Sciences.
This inclusive structure ensures broad access to opportunities, equipping young Nigerians with the resources to contribute to the country’s growth.
