The swearing in was done in batches of five

President Bola Tinubu has sworn in members of his cabinet after screening and confirmation by the senate.

The swearing in of the 45 ministers-designate kicked off at 10am and currently ongoing at the banquet hall of the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

The president had asked the senate to confirm 48 ministerial nominees but only 45 were cleared.

Tinubu had earlier assigned portfolios to the ministers confirmed by the Senate.

The swearing in was done in batches of five.

Notable among the dignitaries present are Vice President Kashim Shettima, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, and House of Representatives Speaker Tajudeen Abbas.
