The project is truly magnificent and unlike any other. Upon completion, it will undoubtedly be recognized as one of the greatest infrastructures
Founder of Silverbird Group, Ben Murray-Bruce, has predicted that the ongoing Lagos-Calabar coastal road project will be “one of the greatest infrastructure wonders of our time”
The Businessman and Senator who represented Bayelsa East (2015-2019) stated this in a post on his X account, @benmurraybruce added that “the project is truly magnificent and unlike any other”
This is coming following criticsm of the project by some prominent members of the opposition parties
Atiku Abubakar, the former candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the 2023 presidential election had accused President Bola Tinubu of having a personal interest in the project saying the awarding of the contract for the Lagos-Calabar coastal road was rushed.
The former vice president added that the demolition of some businesses for the construction of the Lagos-Calabar coastal road sends a bad signal to investors about the country.
In the same vein, the former presidential candidate of the Labour Party, LP, Peter Obi kicked against the project saying coastal road was not a priority adding that the federal government should focus on existing unfinished projects.
But as against these rejections, Senator Muray-Bruce who posted on X account, his picture with former governor of Cross River State, Donald Duke at the site of the project, insisted the project is genuinely amazing predicting that, upon completion, the project will become one the extraordinary amenities available in the present time.
He wrote; “Lagos-Calabar coastal road construction site with my good friend, the former governor of Cross River State, H.E Donald Duke. The project is truly magnificent and unlike any other. Upon completion, it will undoubtedly be recognized as one of the greatest infrastructure wonders of our time.”
