The Chairman of All Progressives Congress, APC Campaign Committee Ota Central who also doubles as the Deputy Director of the party’s  Campaign Committee for Ota State Constituency, Hon. Aina Nurudeen Akinpelu has charged party members to be up and doing towards ensuring the ruling party’s victory in the coming 2023 general elections.

While speaking at the party’s joint unit meeting 1, 2 & 3 organised by the APC Ota Ward 3, Akinpelu called on party members to embark on a rigorous door-to-door campaign as the election dates are getting closer. He also urge party loyalists to educate eligible voters on their civic responsibility and why they should cast their votes for all APC candidates, come February 25th and March 11th, 2023 respectively.

“Ultimately, you must also educate them about what Prince Dr Dapo Abiodun has done in Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government despite the global economic challenges.“ Akinpelu said, “the first road governor Abiodun-led  administration constructed is in Our Local Government Osi/Ikola/Navy/AIT Road and one of the most expensive roads his administration is constructing in the state is in our local government which is the  Atan-Lusada-Agbara Road.”

Akinpelu added that Governor Abiodun also constructed Joju inward Ota road, Ejila-Igbesa road, and Ado-Odo-Ikoga road. The governor also took up the responsibility to complete the abandoned Ijoko-Akute-Alagbole road project, built and renovated several schools across Ado-Odo/Ota local government. “In addition, governor Abiodun built a new fire station, and marriage registry in Agbara, one of our major industrial hubs in this local government,” Akinpelu said.

According to Akinpelu, a two-term member of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Governor Abiodun also rehabilitated the Primary Health Centres located in Sango, Ijoko-Ota, Aramokala, Éré, Arijé

He further implored fellow APC faithful to remain firm and loyal to the party. “We are fully in the election period, let us be up and doing, we shall be rewarded accordingly. I urge all of us to work together as a team and let all hands be on deck towards the victory of our great party at all levels in the election.

Some of the notable members of the campaign committee present at the joint unit meeting include Mr Jooda, the secretary of the committee, Alhaja Sikirat Shomola assistant secretary, Omooba Ojugbele Dahood Dunmininu, contact and mobilization officer and Comrade Yusuf Wasiu who is in charge of students engagement.
