Ogun State Deputy Governor, Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele has said that the present administration in the State, remained committed to revamping the education sector, to enable the citizens to have better access to qualitative education. 

Mrs Salako-Oyedele who stated this while hosting the University of Lagos, Faculty of Engineering Alumni Association (UNILAGFEAA) in her office at Oke-Mosan expressed that the Ogun state government is ready to work with groups and individuals willing to complement the education policy of the State Government.

She noted that the present administration had commenced rehabilitation of dilapidated structures in schools, noting that it was a huge investment in the sector in which government had to bear, as efforts were geared towards helping the citizens especially the young ones to achieve their dreams in life.

“In this State, His Excellency, Governor Dapo Abiodun, is committed to overhauling the education system, to get it right from primary to secondary school, in order to create a good background for the children, where they can read, speak and write well before going into the University

“We are also looking at how we can improve the welfare of our teachers because a teacher that is not happy cannot impart knowledge, and if they are not comfortable, they can’t perform well”, she said.

Earlier in his address, the Chairman of UNILAGFEAA, Engr. Titi Omo- Ettu, assured of the Association’s support, expressing confidence that the Deputy Governor would continue to tap into the wealth of experience, knowledge and goodwill of her constituent and be the quintessential Engineer she was known for.
