Ogun ADC guber candidate, Gboyega Isiaka Felicitates with Christians, Urges Sacrifice

A Gubernatorial candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Ogun state, Prince Gboyega Nasir Isiaka, has felicitated with Christians on the occasion of this year’s Christmas celebration.

In a Yuletide message released by the media office of his campaign organization in Abeokuta the state capital, the governorship hopeful congratulated all Christians for witnessing another Christmas noting that it is a time of the year that comes with a beautiful spirit and worthy tradition.

The statement reads in parts, “I celebrate with my Christian brother and sisters and everyone indeed – particularly in Ogun state – on the event of Christmas. It is a time to express the spirit of giving, sharing of love and display of sacrifice – which is truly the essence if this season”.

“The core of this celebration is about the birth of Jesus Christ. His lifetime and eventual sacrifice at the cross are eternal lessons in love and sacrifice; which everyone should emulate in order to have a peaceful world”.

Isiaka stated that the seventh item on his manifesto, ‘Good governance and Values Reorientation’ was in recognition of the challenges and prevalent antisocial vices that are traceable to the absence of love and debasement of right values among the people.

According to him, “If people will learn to abide with the lessons that Christmas offers, our world would be a blissful one”.

He said, ” My prayer is that Almighty God bless every citizen and resident of of our state with the treasures and pleasures of Christmas; a giving spirit, will to sacrifice, serenity in our hearts, enduring love and peace all through the coming year”.

The two-time Gubernatorial campaigner, however, enjoined people to observe modesty and caution all through the festive period noting that security of lives and property is also paramount while celebrating.
